Baltic Broadband delivered 20Gbps of internet into Liverpool’s Pier Head this weekend with 6x Fixed Wireless Access point to point links, 2 x 40Gbps Fibre leased lines and dual satellite for extra resilience.
The 4 day open-air festival formed part of a long weekend of entertainment for ‘On the Waterfront’, with Liverpool’s iconic Three Graces and the River Mersey as its stunning backdrop.
The festival was headlined by Sting, The Wombats, Kaleidoscope Orchestra and The Wolfe Tones, as tens of thousands of people flocked to the city’s Pier Head for the shows.
The also saw performances from Pale Waves and The Christians, a DJ set from Groove Armada, Corella, Overpass, Keyside, The Scratch, The Highstool Prophets, Shea Doolin, Todd Terry, Chicane, Danny Rampling, Seb Fontaine, Tall Paul, Sean Hughes, Rob Harnetty Sophie Grey and Traits.
As per the last 4 years, and enjoyed working with Live Nation/Cream and Indigo to power over 20,000 festival goers, over 200+ credit card machines, backend audio/visual systems, ticketing, production, WiFi, drones, CCTV, radio systems and much more, our bullet-proof setup enjoyed multiple redundant routes in and out, protected by 12 hour battery backup (UPS) and connected directly into the London and Manchester internet exchanges in a resilience triangle.
What an amazing atmosphere it was, from working backstage with the crew to enjoying the music out the front, our experienced team delivered another fab production in our wonderful city, Liverpool!
