About Baltic Broadband

We are Baltic Broadband, your digital connectivity experts. We own and operate our own independent digital network, housed in our own data centres and digital exchanges across the region.

Unlike the wave of alternative network startups currently struggling in today’s economy, we are completely independent, debt-free, highly profitable, and run without institutional investors or venture capital control. Led by time-served Chartered Engineers with over 25 years of industry experience, our business is built entirely on long-term financial and operational sustainability.

We are proud to be Liverpool’s premier connectivity partner, trusted to deliver flawless internet infrastructure for some of the world’s biggest brands and high-profile local icons.

Is This Role For You? (Please Read Carefully)

This is a pure New Business Hunter role. If you are looking for a comfortable account management job where you sit at a desk, manage existing clients, or wait for marketing leads to land in your inbox, this is not the role for you. We are looking for a self-starter who gets a genuine buzz from breaking into new accounts. You must be entirely comfortable with proactive field prospecting (door-knocking commercial parks), making cold introductions, and handling rejection with resilience.

Local networking is a core requirement of this role, not an afterthought. You will be expected to actively represent us at Liverpool City Region business events, including early morning breakfasts and evening networking circles. If you are not prepared to get out into the local community and hunt for business, please do not apply.

Our Commercial Footprint

You won’t be selling a generic, hard-to-explain utility. You will be pitching elite, resilient connectivity to a local market that is wide open. Our sales team gets to leverage a spectacular, proven portfolio of clients across multiple sectors, including:

  • Retail Giants: We keep major brands connected, including JD Sports, All Saints, Castore, and Zara.

  • High-Footfall Hospitality: Our network powers iconic venues like Flight Club, Gravity Max, and the legendary Cavern Club.

  • Commercial Property & Logistics: We are the trusted partners for premier spaces like Liverpool ONE and CBRE Managed Services.

  • Professional Services: Highly secure firms like Hogan Brown Solicitors rely on our infrastructure.

  • Entertainment & Media: We deploy rapid-response, high-stakes connectivity for global production powerhouses including Paramount Pictures, Warner Bros TV Productions, and the BBC.

  • Major Events: We keep the crowds and crews online at massive regional events like the BBC Radio One Weekender and Liverpool Sound City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Self-Generate New Business: Heavily prospect the Liverpool City Region through targeted field sales, door-knocking commercial hubs, cold outreach, and self-generated leads.

  • Close the Deal: Take prospects smoothly from a cold introduction to a signed contract, confidently overcoming objections and asking for the business.

  • Local Networking: Actively build relationships by representing Baltic Broadband at local Chambers of Commerce, business exhibitions, and regional networking groups.

  • Pipeline Management: Maintain an accurate, active sales pipeline within our systems, ensuring consistent weekly sales activity.

Requirements

  • Experience: Minimum 3+ years of proven success in a high-activity B2B field sales environment (telecoms, SaaS, managed IT, copiers, commercial waste, or utilities experience is highly desirable).

  • Mindset: A true “hunter” mentality with a track record of exceeding outbound sales targets.

  • Communication: Exceptional face-to-face and phone communication skills, with the ability to explain technical internet solutions in simple, commercial terms to business owners.

  • Licence: A valid UK driving licence and access to your own transport for client deployments across the region.

How to Apply

We do not accept generic, automated applications. To show us your communication and closing skills in action, please follow these instructions:

  1. Submit your up-to-date CV through this portal.

  2. In place of a traditional cover letter, please include a link (via Google Drive, Dropbox, or a video sharing link) to a 60-second smartphone video or audio note introducing yourself, explaining why you are the ultimate sales hunter for this role, and highlighting the single biggest B2B deal you have personally closed.

Note: Applications submitted without the requested 60-second video/audio introduction link will be automatically filtered out and deleted by our system.
