We’re seeing a big demand for replacing Starlink with fibre or wireless services recently.
Customers of Starlink are now having to pay large amounts in overages when they use over 1TB each month, making a business satellite connection a very expensive commodity indeed.
Last week, we signed off another such installation whereby an Airbnb property was getting hit with very large data charges due to the new policy.
We replaced the Starlink with our Fixed Wireless Access service, that offers speeds up to 20Gbps upload and download, has a 99.992% SLA and more importantly, the wireless leased line does not have any data limits, so our customer has a fixed cost whatever amount of data their customers use within the property.
The last few weeks, we’ve already been inundated with more orders for the same and only yesterday we had a conversation with another landlord with a large amount of properties, all with Starlink’s, who is now cancelling them all and moving them to Baltic wireless or fibre as the costs have just got out of control.
At one property alone, his cost went from £150/m to £2800/m and still climbing!
The Baltic Broadband team is going to be very busy for the next few months. 🙂
